Moms and dads are tasked with not just their own 40-plus hour workweek but are also the ones responsible for taking care of the household and all of the errands – like chauffeuring kids around – that it entails.
Millions of moms can’t remember the last pedicure they got, let alone a decent night’s sleep. Many women opt for the store-bought hair color instead of booking an appointment at the salon, not just to save money but who has time for that?!
As women, we know how important it is to eat healthily and exercise, but we rarely think of the health of our psyche. Our partners tell us how much they appreciate us and how beautiful we are but there’s nothing like feeling like a million bucks! This is one of the biggest reasons makeover segments on talk shows and makeover TV series are so popular – we get to live vicariously through some amazing, hard-working, and deserving women.
Ten years ago, a woman named Susan and her daughter went to Studio 1A at Rockefeller Plaza with the hopes that Susan would be chosen for TODAY’s “Ambush Makeover” segment. She was, and the transformation was incredible. A decade later, and this duo traveled back to New York City with Susan’s daughter, Courtney, hoping for a new look.
