Meghan, Duchess Of Sussex Makes History Once Again!

There is no shortage of Meghan Markle, AKA Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, in the news these days and let’s be honest, no one is complaining one bit! Not only is she a popular actress (former actress, we should say!) but she’s also one heck of a women’s rights activist, has a star-studded BFF list, and she’s technically a princess.

Of course, we have to say “technically” because according to Sky News, “rules governing the monarchy say only those with royal blood can use the title of Prince of Princess followed by their first name.” You can, however, refer to her as Her Royal Highness Princess Henry of Wales and no one across the pond will scold you for it. In fact, they may even be impressed by your proper royal protocol knowledge!

Over here, she’ll always be Meghan Markle to us and there’s nothing wrong with that. Meghan, the actress, is rumored to be in the running for an Emmy for her role of Rachel Zane on USA Network’s Suits. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait until July 12th for the official Emmy announcement. In the meantime, fans of Meghan will be happy to know that she’s in the running for another award.

The annual Teen Choice Awards have placed Meghan in the running for Choice Style Icon. The nomination is the first for a member of the British Royal Family which means Meghan has made history again!
