16-Year-Old Girl Who Missed Three Years Of School Battling Cancer Voted Prom Queen

Now 16, Charlotte is in remission, although she will eventually need joint replacement surgery due to the damage her cancer and the treatment did to her body. She was able to fight through the pain and sit through her end of school exams with her classmates. She even attended Kingsway’s prom with the help of the Cinderella Project who helped her with her gown.

As extraordinary as all of that is, Charlotte’s story doesn’t end there. After missing a total of three years of school, her classmates paid tribute to her determination, selflessness, and strength and voted her prom queen!

“The Cinderella Project made me feel like a princess, but most importantly like a normal teenage girl who, despite everything that has happened to me, could attend her prom just like her friends, feeling beautiful and confident,” she said.

Congrats, Charlotte it is definitely well deserved!
