In the video you’re about to see, Lyette explains that everything boils down to a list. Every morning, she writes out everything that needs to be done and as she admits, “if it isn’t on the list, it isn’t getting done.” In the course of a week, you will find 88 activities her kids are involved in that she needs to transport them too. The Rebeck children range in age from 2 to 23. Lyette gave birth to her first child when she was 21 and had 12 more biological children since. The Rebecks also adopted four kids, bringing their brood to 16 – 10 girls and six boys.
If that isn’t mind-boggling enough, Lyette has spent 10 years of her life pregnant, gained and lost 600 pounds of baby weight, and went through natural labor 12 times. The Rebecks spend $650 every week on groceries, including 12 gallons of milk, 100 eggs, 40 pounds of chicken, and 40-50 pounds of potatoes or rice.
The family produces 42 loads of laundry each week that needs to be washed, dried, and folded. The kids all have their assigned chores which they get done between classes which Lyette teaches at home. Take a look at a day in their life…
