British singer and TV personality Stacey Solomon has joined the legions of celebrity women who are breaking the silence on the photoshop secret, undoubtedly, one of the entertainment industry’s worst-kept secrets.
Ok so my faith in humanity was dented today when I went to a salon to get a facial where I was told… “you should start having Botox and fillers now before it’s too late”. How on Earth are young girls supposed to be confident and happy in their own skin when it’s being fed to them (in professional health and wellness clinics) that they need to prevent ageing using Botox and fillers before it’s too late (AT THE RIPE OLD AGE OF 28!!!!!!) my goodness. I felt 10 years older walking out than I did walking in just because of that comment. I believe that people should do whatever makes them happy, if you want fillers and Botox there’s nothing wrong with that, but I don’t agree with it being pushed down your throat by people in that industry scaremongering and making the perfectly natural ageing process feel like a disease. Anyone out there if you fancy my penny’s worth the best anti ageing you can do is look after your health and well-being. Anyway rant over lots of love ?
“Children are robbed of their childhood because they’re under pressure to look a certain way,” Solomon told Celebrity Secrets. “Even if you ask 100 teenagers if they think a picture has been edited, and they all say ‘yes’, they’ll still want to look like that – as that’s what they think ‘pretty’ is.’
“And that’s what we’ve got to eradicate.”
Solomon is joining the charge by releasing her own unedited bikini photos from a shoot she did for Celebrity Secrets, available exclusively when buying a bumper pack of OK!/new!/Star magazine.
This is how scary airbrushing can be… just remember when you’re looking at someone’s post or in a mag or poster you might not be looking at real life images! I’m so proud of the interview and shoot I did with @celebritysecretsmag highlighting how dangerous this kind of body morphing is and why all bodies should I’ll be celebrated no matter what shape or size! I look better UN airbrushed in my opinion and love my natural lumps and bumps! If you want to see real women and read about not putting pressure on yousrelf this year pick up a copy of @ok_mag bumper pack and read celeb secrets mag! Love yourself because you’re perfect ?????????
In the above photo, Solomon bravely shows her before and after shots of what the photographer captures versus what the digital artists spend hours touching up using Photoshop and other editing software.
In this photo, you can see how her skin tone has changed color (as has the bikini! Crazy!), her face is more contoured, her teeth are white, her curves have been “shaved” down, any stretch marks or scars have been smoothed over, and even her arm hair has even been removed!
It’s sad that young women are hearing that they are beautiful just the way they are and then turn around and feel pressured into unhealthy lifestyles to achieve admittedly unattainable goals.
SHARE this post on Facebook so more young women see how fake magazine photos are!
