Joining Cora on River Island’s “Labels Are For Clothes” campaign is another youngster with Down syndrome, four-year-old Gabriel Sohota. Like his peer, Gabriel truly enjoyed being a high-end fashion model and his smile definitely shows the fun he had on the shoot.
The adorable models selected for the latest River Island campaign are all represented by Zebedee Management, a company that specifically works with people with disabilities.The management firm champions people like Lois Groom, a 10-year-old born with 18q deletion syndrome. The condition is very rare, affecting one in 40,000 children and caused Lois to be born deaf, hyper-mobile, and speech delayed.
Teddy Short is also one of River Island’s newest models. Teddy is an adorable five-years-old who has cerebral palsy and epilepsy. Teddy even brought his walking aid to the shoot and can be seen with it in the ad.
Miley Major is a four-year-old who has eyesight issues and helps River Island highlight that fashion should be as diverse as the world in which we all live.
