Photo Of ‘Chillest Baby’ Being Born Goes Viral!

Angel Taylor of Bremerton, Washington had two children – one delivered via C-section and the other, vaginally. She found out she was pregnant with her third and was really hoping that she could deliver that child naturally as well.

Everything was going according to plan for Angel and she was expecting Baby No. 3 mid-March. However, during a routine check-up, her doctor found that her blood pressure had soared dangerously high and sent her to the hospital to deliver a week early.

“We went home and totally ran around like chickens with our heads cut off — we thought we had another week!” Angel said. “I didn’t have the car seat in the car, I hadn’t finished packing.”

It turned out that Angel actually did have time to prepare: four days to be exact!

Angel was admitted to the hospital on March 5th, but she still hadn’t dilated yet. The hospital staff told her they didn’t want to rush anything.

“[The doctor] knew it was going to be a slow-going process and he didn’t want to be too aggressive with the induction,” Angel explained. “He wanted us to be safe. He didn’t want me to rupture and he didn’t want the baby to be stressed out. He purposely wanted it to be a slow process.”

Angel began being administered very small doses of Pitocin – a hormone commonly used to cause or strengthen contractions to induce labor. Because she delivered via a Cesarian section previously, they were concerned she could suffer a uterine rupture if they induced her too quickly.

After three days of being in the hospital, she was still only 4cm dilated.
