Kaitlyn Lawson is a mom and an EMT and has a simple, yet lifesaving tip for parents of little ones in car seats. It involves attaching a piece of paper on your child’s car seat, but what’s written on that paper that could mean life or death for your child.
Unfortunately, children aren’t immune to car accidents. Even more disheartening is the fact that infants have been severely injured or worse as the result of mom or dad being unconscious in the front seat, while they are strapped in a car seat unable to speak in the back.
Way too often do firefighters come upon a car wreck with child(ren) in the car who are too young to have any info and…
At a minimum, not being able to tell a first responder what their name is, how old they are, and other important info leads to a delay in their care. In the very worst cases, not having that relevant information has cost a child their life.

Kaitlyn’s trick is to write all of that important information on a piece of paper and attach it to your child’s car seat. The idea is so simple yet brilliant that her post has been shared thousands of times and other moms are even adding to it!
Will this be something you’ll be adding to your child’s car seat?
