Jimmy Kimmel’s Seven-Month-Old Son Billy Had His Second Heart Surgery And It Was A Success!

When comedian Jimmy Kimmel announced to the world that his newborn son Billy had to undergo heart surgery at three days old, there was nothing funny about it.

He gave a heartfelt plea for the importance of keeping people with pre-existing conditions covered under the Obamacare bill as the GOP-led Congress looked to vote on the repeal over the summer.


Kimmel explained that his son was born with tetralogy of Fallot with pulmonary atresia.

The host explained that the condition means that Kimmel explained that the condition means that his son’s pulmonary valve was blocked completely.


Billy also had a hole in the wall between the left and right sides of his heart.

Billy’s first surgery when he was just three days old was successful, but he would need a second surgery when he was between three and six months old.
