Hospital Throws Prom For Teen Who Had A Major Allergy Attack On Her Way To The Dance!

Prom season is just about over and without a doubt, 2018 had some memorable prom stories. In years past, it felt like all we were doing from mid-April until school let out was liking photos on our friends’ timelines that featured their high schooler all dressed up for prom. As much as we love seeing our friends feeling proud and in awe of their kids, it’s nice to see so many photos and videos that show how amazing people really can be.

Lindsey Preston is a high school junior in Alabama that has Down syndrome. She and her family have been close friends with San Francisco 49ers defensive back Don Jones II since they were little. In fact, Lindsey’s mom was Don’s elementary school teacher and had such an impact on him that they remained like family throughout his life. Now that he’s an NFL player, that hasn’t changed a thing. He was asked by Lindsey’s mom to take her daughter to prom and Jones II jumped at the chance to go back home and make his friend’s night special.

My prom date is better than yours??‍♀️??

Rachel Newberry wanted to make her own close friend with Down syndrome, Ben, feel special. The two of them have been best friends for so long, Rachel doesn’t remember a time when they weren’t. She came up with a touching way to ask Ben to prom and it was so heartwarming, it went viral quickly. She said she always hope Ben would be her date and she wanted him to feel special, which is why she set up an elaborate promposal!

Even major Hollywood stars got in on the 2018 prom action. Katie Kelzenberg is a senior at a Minnesota high school who asked Dwayne The Rock Johnson to prom. Unfortunately, he couldn’t make it but he did make arrangements to have a local theater reserve all 232 seats for a private showing of his latest movie, Rampage, for Katie and her friends. He threw in all the treats, popcorn, and soda they could eat.
