Four-Year-Girl Channels Her Inner Moana And Gives Epic School Performance!

There are many things that make Disney movies popular. We fall in love with the characters, the story, and of course, the songs! It all started with Walt Disney’s first animated feature-length film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs that captivated the world with her kind demeanor, the adorable Dwarfs, and the music. To this day, “Whistle While You Work” is sung by people of all ages, usually when it’s time to tidy up. Adapted from a slightly more dark fairytale by the Brothers Grimm in the 1800’s, Disney’s version romanticized the idea that there was a Prince Charming for every girl.

Snow White had people from all walks of life begging for more, and more is exactly what Disney gave them. To date, there have now been 56 movies produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and although true diversity was introduced to the company with 1992’s Aladdin, they still hold true to the formula that has been a success since 1937: strong characters, compelling storylines, and songs that stay with you for a lifetime.

From the early days of Cinderella to the modern-age Disney Princesses like Tiana, every film that has received the Disney stamp of approval has a song that sticks out almost more than the plotline itself. Some are a little more popular than others and just when you get one out of your head, another one enters that will play like an infinite loop until the next one comes along.

The most popular song to come along in recent memory was Frozen’s “Let It Go” in 2013, which you just couldn’t. Even if you didn’t know all of the words, you’d be in your car belting out the chorus as if you were Queen Elsa herself. The reign of “Let It Go” lasted until a strong-willed Polynesian princess named Moana entered our world.

“How Far I’ll Go” was the most memorable tune in a movie filled with them and garnered an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song in 2017. It didn’t win the Oscar, but it won the hearts of little girls worldwide who dreamed of their future and the endless possibilities it held.

One of these little girls is four-year-old Sophia, whose class was to sing “How Far I’ll Go” for their Kindergarten graduation. What made Sophia stand out is her passion for the song, which is clearly on display. She gives a performance that is so epic, it’s been viewed millions of times. If you haven’t seen it, you won’t be able to hold back your smile watching her facial expressions and uncontainable enthusiasm for the song. As she sings her heart out, you can’t help but think that Sophia will definitely go far…
