All dads are different which is what makes them so special. Some dads are our heroes, others our mentors. They don’t even have to be our blood to be our dads, either. You’ve heard the saying, “Anyone can be a father but it takes someone special to be a dad,” right? It’s because it’s true. Stepfathers, foster fathers, grandfathers, uncles, brothers, neighbors, coaches – they’ve all stepped up to the plate and been called someone’s dad.
We often credit our moms with raising us and teaching us right from wrong but we learn a lot of lessons in life from our dads. We’re definitely not taking anything away from all of the strong, beautiful, and smart ladies out there raising us but sometimes we should give dads a little love too!
Whether your dad took you to your sports practice, taught you how to change the oil in your car, helped you to execute your science project, or sat through hours of piano recitals without complaining, each one of them helped to mold us into who we are.
A couple young ladies recently can add another “dad task” to the list – being their ballet instructor! Last month, we shared with you the story of Acers Gill, the amazing dad to a two-year-old girl who helped her along with her dance moves from off stage during a recital. The Internet fell in love with Acers but it looks like he has some competition!
