Boy With Down Syndrome Makes History As He’s Named The 2018 Gerber Baby!

Having their son selected to be one of the world’s most famous faces is overwhelming to the Warrens, but it’s more gratitude and hope for what it means than personal gain.

“We’re hoping this will impact everyone,” Jason told TODAY. “[We’re hoping] that it will shed a little bit of light on the special needs community and help more individuals with special needs be accepted and not limited.

“They have the potential to change the world, just like everybody else,” he added.

Bill Partyka, the president and CEO of Gerber, said, “Lucas’ winning smile and joyful expression won our hearts this year, and we are all thrilled to name him our 2018 Spokesbaby.”

Partyka also called Lucas “the perfect fit” for the company’s mission statement that “Every baby is a Gerber Baby.”
