For starters, Franz is very patient with the kids that come to him for a haircut. At times, he has taken up to 90 minutes to cut hair and he does it without making anyone feel rushed or a burden. He simply cuts the children’s hair on their schedule.
With Wyatt, Franz allows him to move around his shop at his leisure when he needs a break. Once, he even lied down on the floor with him to finish a cut and Wyatt’s mom snapped a photo of the tender moment.
The image went viral and many people are calling Franz a savior to kids with ASD and their parents and it’s hard to disagree.
Wyatt’s mother, Fauve Lafrenière, says Franz is “an everyday hero.”
“He takes care of everything, and I don’t even get involved,” Fauve said. “It takes a load off my shoulders.”
